"In the world of Eravale, enormous creatures known as Guardians wander the land. Antlered bears, wolves and large cats prowl the dense woodland, while winged badgers and feathered stoats leave their burrows and play among the oaken branches. On grassy plains, endless herds of white mammoths roam, their spurred horns are decorated with runes and moss. Surely, a symbol of their ancient presence, perhaps as old as the forest itself. Enormous stags with antlers woven like intricate willow branches sleep under the watchful eyes of giant, moss-covered statues. No one knows truly who built these alters to the Guardians. Some believe they were built as a reminder of Eravale's creators. Others believe they are the first Guardians themselves, so old that the earth itself eventually reclaimed them; turning them to stone so that they may watch over Eravale forevermore."
What is Eravale?
Eravale is ongoing project that began late 2025; a fantasy world residing in quiet, ancient myth. This is a world inhabited by towering, wandering figures known as Guardians, while small fragments of a lowly civilisation live on ground. These pilgrims of the forest who live in these civilisations view Guardians as they own creators, and wear masks as a symbol of their dedication and worship.

Guardians
The Guardians are often large, towering beasts that inhabit Eravale as their homeland. A prominent symbol of a Guardian is their display of large antlers or horns. No matter the species, a Guardian is not without their antlers. A symbol of their presence and silent power, the antlers are sometimes adorned with runes or moss. Species range from large birds, stoats, badgers, deer, mammoths, bears, wild board, and many more yet to be discovered – all fashioning mighty antlers or horns.
The Masked Ones
Simply known as “The Masked Ones”, these small folk inhabit Eravale and live alongside the enormity of the Guardians that truly rule this world. However, the Guardians are of no threat. Some of these masked pilgrims view Guardians as the very creators of Eravale, while others see them as simply the ones that have always been. Perhaps it is the Guardians that bring life to Eravale in the first place.
The Masked Ones visit enormous, moss-covered shrines – paying tribute to the Guardians. They travel on the backs of tamed, antlered pheasants and ptarmigans; as the small folk have discovered these to be a tameable species.
