Hello.

Kirstin Barrett is an illustrator with a love for folklore, high fantasy and whimsical, cosy storytelling. Graduating in illustration in 2018, Kirstin has pursued her art through exhibitions, workshops and undertaken a number of commissions both for businesses and private collectors. These commissions have ranged from custom fantasy pieces to surface and brand design. 

As a traditional artist, Kirstin's preferred mediums are watercolour, gouache and ink. Surfaces range from cold press, to fabric and wood slice and enjoys combining mediums to explore unique patterns and texture that resemble what is seen in nature.

In December 2025, Kirstin began her latest illustration project "Eravale". This has allowed Kirstin to combine her love for wildlife and nature with her passion for mystical storytelling; developing a fantasy realm with the use of sketchbook work, illustrated pieces and "artefacts". 

 

Currently, Kirstin is continuing to develop Eravale as her ongoing personal project while remaining open for commissions and collaborative projects. ​
